How renting, wallets, and payments work on RatherRent.
RatherRent lets you rent access to PC games by the hour or by the day. Instead of buying a full title, you pick the game you want, choose how long you need it, and get login details so you can start playing in minutes.
Browse the catalog, open a game, and pick a rental duration. You see a live price before you confirm. Once you rent, the cost comes out of your prepaid wallet and your login details appear on your My Rentals page. Your rental stays active until the time you paid for runs out.
No. You can browse the full catalog and check prices without signing in. You only need an account, with a verified email, when you are ready to add funds and rent a game.
Rentals are paid from your RatherRent wallet. You top the wallet up first, then each rental is charged against your balance. This keeps checkout instant because there is no separate payment step every time you rent.
Go to your Wallet, enter an amount, and pay with crypto. Your balance updates as soon as the network confirms the payment. Card payments are coming soon.
Crypto payments are credited once they confirm on the network, which can take a little while depending on the coin. Your wallet page updates on its own while a payment is confirming, so you can leave it open. If you sent a different amount than the invoice asked for, the top-up goes to a manual review and you should contact support with your top-up ID.
Yes. A top-up you start but do not pay expires after a couple of hours. If that happens, just start a new one from your wallet page.
Funds you add to your wallet are meant to be spent on rentals. If you run into a problem with a top-up or a charge, reach out to support and we will help sort it out.
On your My Rentals page. Each active rental has a reveal button for the account details and, when the account uses Steam Guard, a code that refreshes on its own every few seconds.
Yes. Open the rental on your My Rentals page and choose Extend. You see the price for the extra time before you confirm, and it is charged from your wallet balance.
Access stops automatically when the time you paid for runs out. The rental then shows as expired in your history. If you want more time, extend it before it ends or start a fresh rental.
You can end a rental at any time from your My Rentals page. Ending a rental is permanent and does not refund unused time, so we ask you to confirm before it goes through.
When a game account has Steam Guard turned on, your rental card shows a login code with a countdown ring. It refreshes on its own, so if a code stops working just wait for the next one and use the fresh value.
Email verification protects your account and your wallet balance. You need a verified email before you can add funds or rent, and we use it to reach you about anything important on your account.
Yes. Play normally during your rental. Do not change the account password, email, or security settings, and do not try to make purchases on the account. If an account seems locked or offline, use the tools on your rental card to refresh access or contact support.
Too many failed sign-in attempts temporarily lock an account as a safety measure. Wait a little while and try again with the correct details. If you forgot your password, use the Forgot password link on the login page and we will email you a link to choose a new one.
